* squeals bc of how much i love gg character dynamics !!! * for jenny  ,  i’d say that  ,  on blair’s end  ,  the trope CORRUPT THE CUTIE is actively at play  ,  especially when you consider how precious and ( sort of ) naive jenny was in the beginning of season one  ,  however  ,  on jenny’s end  ,  it developed into a BACKSTABBING THE ALPHA BITCH dynamic  ,  which is one that’s repeated quite a few times  .  for dan  …. probably SHE IS NOT MY GIRLFRIEND  in season 4 onward ,   as well as KICK THE PUPPY in seasons one and two  ,  both for obvious reasons  .   for chuck  ,  the obvious is ALL GIRLS WANT BAD BOYS  ,  as she eventually chooses him over her golden-boy-boyfriend  ,  as well as the LIVING EMOTIONAL CRUTCH trope  .   for serena  ,  even though y’all know i have some opinions on the ‘heterosexual’ part of this  ,  i’m going to go with HETEROSEXUAL LIFE PARTNERS  ,  as well as LIGHT FEMININE AND DARK FEMININE  -  guess who’s light and who’s dark  .   lastly  ,  for nate  ,  there’s the whole READY FOR LOVEMAKING dynamic from season one  ,   and then BETTER AS FRIENDS in season three onward.
